Corkon’s story begins with Soliege, a leading provider of innovative cork insulation solutions in France. Stéphane, a passionate advocate for sustainable practices, recognised the potential of Soliege’s high-performance, eco-friendly insulation – a product he believed offered superior performance and sustainability compared to existing options in the Australian market. “Cork is one of nature’s finest materials—renewable, durable, and beautiful,” Stéphane explains. “I saw an opportunity to offer Australian businesses a truly advanced, sustainable alternative to traditional insulation.”
In 2023, Stéphane launched Corkon in Australia, adapting the Soliege brand to better resonate with the local market while maintaining its core values and commitment to quality. Recognizing the diverse climates across Australia and the increasing demand for eco-conscious building materials, Stéphane believed that Corkon could play a vital role in creating more comfortable and sustainable spaces. “For me,” says Stéphane, “Corkon is about environmental stewardship and offering a responsible solution that benefits both people and the planet.”
